The Buck Brothers/ Sneak Peek

Time to share some sneak peeks into The Buck Brothers!  I can't wait to find out what you think! but first a little introduction to the characters.   Texas (Tex) Buck: Tex is the eldest of the "buck brothers", at the age of twenty. Tall, brown eyed, with slightly wavy dark hair. He is the quiet one. Even more so now, then before the Civil War. He is always to the point, with 'no play'n around.' Even though he listens to his brothers ideas and suggestions, his brothers know that in the end Tex is in charge. Under his seriousness he has a heart of gold, with a great love for God. He's always ready and willing to help out.   Thomas (Tom) Buck: Tom is second in line out of the brothers. He's the closest to Tex.(He and Tex fought in the Civil War together) Tom can often read Tex's moods and even read his thoughts.  When Tex is gone, Tom takes charge over his younger brothers. He also has dark hair, like Tex, but it is straight. He's the kind

The 20 Questions Book Tag

I was tag for this a while ago but I want to do it! So, here it is a little late! 1. How many books are too many in a series?  It depends on the series. If the series is good, it doesn't matter really. 2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?  I like them! If you didn't have them the story wouldn't be so exciting! I have a ton of fun putting them in my books.  3. Hardcover or paperback? I like paperback. It's easier to read from one, but a hardcover lasts longer. 4. What's your favorite book?  I don't really have a  favorite book. There are to many to choose from. So I'll just say the Bible.  5. Least favorite book? I don't really have a least favorite. I normally like books as long as they're clean and all that. 6. Fiction or nonfiction? Fiction mostly. 7. The most recent book you couldn't finish? Swiss Family Robinson.  It's the long one! I might finish it yet. 8. A book you're currently reading?  A Quiet Neighborhood

Okay, I was going to have you all vote on your favorite book name out of ten names, but I made a book cover with one of the names and I LOVE it! I made a couple more so you can still vote. So, here you go... Read the names carefully! *wink*   I love this one! Which one do you like best?                            Oh, and which cover do you like best for The Buck Brothers ?                                      See you in the comments!                                      ~Kylie

My book/ Meet Nels Everett

I'd like you to meet Nels Everett, the second character in my book.                                                           >>>><<<< Nels  Everett rested his forearm on the saddle horn and looked a cross the herd of cattle at the setting sun. His horse shifted it position and switched its tail.  Owen rode his horse up beside him. "Ain't ya going home yit?"    Nels didn't shift his gaze from the herd.  "No."    "You're plum tuckered out. I can tell. Besides your sister will be wait'n," Owen argued.    "I've too much work to do."   Nels thoughts went to all the work that needed to be done. They still had to brand all the calves in the west pasture. The f

Special Sisters

So... here it is! Starting with my eldest sister, Kimberly. Picture Removed By Author       Kimberly is 21. That makes her 7 years older then me. She is the oldest child in the family. I don't ever remember her yelling at me. I remember her being mad or frustrated with me but I can't think of a time where she yelled angrily at me. She is a great, loving, and kind sister and I love her a lot!    I'm the next girl in line. I just turned fourteen on August 20th. If you've been following me you might know me pretty well. I made one pie for me and one pie for my marine brother L, who shares a birthday with me. This year was the first year ever that we didn't celebrate our birthday together. He always had lemon meringue pie on our birthday, so I had it this year. I couldn't imagine my birthday without it! Oh, I miss him so much!   The other day I found myself talking to a picture of him. I think of him every day. I pray for him every day. I miss him tons every day. I'm so proud of him! Even though he's doing a hard thing and I miss him, I never wish he would have done something else closer to home. He'
