The 30 Day Challenge // Day Eighteen

Day Eighteen: Something I Miss:

I miss many things about life. I'm always thinking back and missing things that we've had or done.

One thing I miss a lot is my Grandpa's ranch. That place was like a second home at one time. We didn't live that far way from it and would go there quiet a bit. No one lived there, there was no cows ( Well, at least not any cows of his own, he did let near by ranchers run their cattle through there.) no cowhands, no horses. But there was the ranch house, the four-wheelers the trails we'd run them on, the orchard, the river, the fire pit, shooting, deer, turkeys, wild animals of many kinds, including rattle snakes. I never seen one though, but they were there.

*sigh* I miss that place. I don't think I could ever explain what that place meant to us. That place was filled to over flowing with memories and love. It wasn't really the place it's own self, it was more the feelings and joy I felt there.

Oh, those four wheeler rides, and camp fire sides. They linger in my mind. I feel the love and laughter as we all crowded around the small living room. The trips to the river where always so filled with joy. The hum of the four-wheeler's wheels on gravel and the jostling we got as we went over bumps as we crowded as many as we could on one, I will never forget. I will never forget the laughter and the chatter of all the Aunts and Uncles, or the children's cries of delight as the swung high into the air on the giant rope swing, the fun we had as we kids played in the one room in the barn know to all as the play house. Oh, and riding through the orchard when the apples were ripe meant a apple for all and we passed under the branches.

No, I wont ever forget that place. The place we went as a family, the place we went as friends, the place were we all found joy into the simplicity of life.

The Ranch House.

The Barn.

It looks like I'm back

Hi there. It's Kylie here. It's been a while, hey? *laughs* Well, I'm back for at least one post. I thought I would just give a little update, about my crazy, exciting, boarding, sad, life. To begin with: my brother's wedding! I know I left off blogging right before their wedding because life was SO busy then... and hasn't really slowed down at all. The wedding was fabulous! It still brings a smile to my face to remember that special day. My brother and his bride were beaming with joy and it just radiated over the whole place. My heart still warms with the memory of how they walked out man in wife, their faces lit up with happiness! *sigh* If only I could live that day over again. But now for a few pictures... just a couple. *winks* *laughs* Yeeaahhh... Jew a couple pictures. *winks* And there's more! Now they are going to have a baby!!!!!!! I'm going to be an aunt! *squeals* *does happy dance* Isn't that amazing?! Such a blessing! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’— The baby won...

The 20 Questions Book Tag

I was tag for this a while ago but I want to do it! So, here it is a little late! 1. How many books are too many in a series?  It depends on the series. If the series is good, it doesn't matter really. 2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?  I like them! If you didn't have them the story wouldn't be so exciting! I have a ton of fun putting them in my books.  3. Hardcover or paperback? I like paperback. It's easier to read from one, but a hardcover lasts longer. 4. What's your favorite book?  I don't really have a  favorite book. There are to many to choose from. So I'll just say the Bible.  5. Least favorite book? I don't really have a least favorite. I normally like books as long as they're clean and all that. 6. Fiction or nonfiction? Fiction mostly. 7. The most recent book you couldn't finish? Swiss Family Robinson.  It's the long one! I might finish it yet. 8. A book you're currently reading?  A Quiet Neighborhoo...
