Well, Hello. Do you remember me? It's me. Kylie. It's been while.
A lot has happened here and I guess I start with the most frightening. The fire.
Last month a fire came within 300 yards of our house. It was scary. We were at the lake when my dad called. Our neighbor had called him and told him a fire had started below his house and that the Fire Fighters were trying to find a way to get down to it. We rushed home, not really accepting that this was a real threat. But when we got on our long gravel road we could see the black smoke billowing into the air. At that point we didn't know how close to our house it was and fear shot through me like a bullet. Upon reaching the house we all went inside to stay out of the car. It didn't have AC. From our house we could see the smoke but no flames, Thank God, but little ashes were falling from the sky. We packed. But what do you pack? My first thought was clothes and my Bible, which I did. After what seemed like forever, but probably was only a few minutes we had most everything pack we absolutely needed. Then the fire truck came. Fire Trucks were flying up our road all along but this one came from the Fire Zone and up to our house. An older Fire Chief told us they were trying to evacuate our area. He reminded us, "Everything in that house can be replaced. You can't." Our neighbor came a little later, poor man was sweating cats and dogs! The Fire was right below his house but he came to see if we needed a hand. The dear man. With our cat and dog with us in the car, both freaking out not knowing what was going on, we left pulling over again and again to let fire trucks by on the narrow road. The rest of the day was spent in the 100 degree weather. I'm not going to say that was healthy because we were weak with fear, and drained from a long day. That night when we got home to our house, it was almost eerie to walk through the house. I didn't think I'd see it again, but there I was. My bed, the dishes in the sink. It was all still there. That was a while ago now. Not sure when because my life is so busy. The fire was stopped, Thank God for Fire Fighters! and not a single life or building was lost.
Okay... that was one thing that happened. The rest isn't scary so you can breath again.
Now to the WEDDINGS!
This month we have some friends wedding to go to and I'm serving the Bridal table! I'm excited not only for that but also because out house will be full of people and friends and I'll just have a ball! Lol.
Also next month is Cody and Shayne's wedding which I'm about to die waiting for. I'm so excited! Our bride's maids dress came and I love them so much! Plus, Mikayla and I agreed to sing! To tell the truth I'm not that afraid of that. Not sure why. At first I was like, "I could never!" But now I'm like, "Yeah. I can do that." We have a count down started for both weddings and also for the day we leave to go out of state for C ♡ S 's wedding.
I've also been writing. A LOT! If you haven't read Strength in Measure By LaKaysha E. (link here) yet you should! It was soooo good! It inspired me so much to continue writing and write the way I want too. To enjoy it and create a story of depth and meaning. My story has come to life for me again and I missed it so much!
The heat here is getting a little to much! It's not in the 100's anymore but the 90's is still too hot. Today as I stuck my head out the door I could see heat waves blurring the neighbors house in the distance. Too hot.
Anyway I have to go! Let's chat again soon!
